On, 18th October 2019, the making workplace safe team of Martha Farrell Foundation conducted an awareness workshop in Holambi Kalan, North West Delhi with the Bal Suraksha Dal(BSD) Leaders of Nav Srishti Foundation. The training was conducted by Ms Surbhi and Ms Himani Singh. There were 25 participants in the workshop including two men. Nav Srishti chose these Leaders from the community itself and have built their capacity on the issue of child rights and child abuse. BSD Leaders work actively 24X7 in their community on child protection and closely monitor the activities in the whole community to make it safe for children.
The training was designed to aware the BSD leaders on the issue of The prevention of Sexual Harassment of women at workplace Act, 2013. The team adopted the participatory research methodology to sensitise them on the following issues:
●What is Sexual Harassment?
●What are the different types of Sexual harassment?
●What is a workplace and how to identify it?
●What are the steps should be taken if misconduct happened?
●What is an Internal Committee and what are its role?
